Two strangers agreed to a conversation — and to nothing else. Here is what that means in practice on CooChatMatch.
Effective
01The premise
Two strangers agreed to a conversation — and to nothing else. Every rule below is that sentence applied to a specific situation.
02Instant removal, no warning
- Any sexual content involving a minor, or any attempt to involve a minor in the service. Reported to authorities, not just removed.
- Nudity or sexual acts on camera.
- Threats of violence, or content celebrating it.
- Scams, phishing, and attempts to move people to fraudulent schemes.
03Removed after review
- Harassment — continuing after the other person said stop, or targeting them across matches.
- Hate directed at people for who they are.
- Recording or photographing the other person without their consent.
- Spam, advertising, and bots of any kind.
- Impersonation of another person or of the platform.
04What good looks like
Say hello first. Take a no. Skip instead of arguing. The best users on this site are unremarkable in exactly the right way — nobody ever reports them, and half the calls they leave end with the other person a little better off than before.
05How enforcement works
Reports go to moderation with the context attached. Action ranges from a warning to permanent removal, matched to severity and history. Both sides of a call are held to the same rules — starting the conversation, or seeming to have the other person along, changes nothing.
Report during a call with the on-screen control; after a call, use the contact page. Cases involving minors: see child safety.
